Dear Dancers,
On Friday the 6th of February (during the HopSpot Live with the Fidgety Feetwarmers) we are organizing a Beginner Mix&Match Competition. We hope to see many of you participate and join the fun (it’s free!).
What is a Mix&Match competition?
In a Mix&Match competition you are social dancing with other contestants whom you’re paired with randomly.
During prelims everyone who wants to join competes. You dance to one or two choruses of a few songs (on average 3 songs) with different partners for each song. From the prelims we will select 3-5 couples (depending on how many people sign up) for the finals.
In the finals you’ll be paired with one partner and dance with them to a chorus of the song. We will have somebody present at the event to explain more when this happens and to count you in.
Who can join?
A beginner M&M is specifically aimed at introducing ‘beginner’ dancers to Mix& Match. For the purpose of this competition we specify a beginner dancer as somebody that has danced a maximum of 1.5 years in that role. However, that is an indication and we trust that you make your own judgement to whether this competition is aimed at you. If you are uncertain please do reach out to us!
We aim to make it fun, with low pressure. We’ll have a little price for the winners
