What to expect:
We get you started. We have a special party pass that includes an absolute beginner’s crash course. You get a beginners class before the Friday and Saturday parties.

They are back and we couldn’t be happier about that. Charlotte and Jordan need very little introduction: they have been with us from our very first edition and since then they have been on a relentless path to Shag stardom. They have the steps, they have the style, and they are going to share some of that with us in their classes.
We are bringing you a fresh collaboration in the Shag world. We are very excited to announce that Fancy and Rafał are going to complete our teacher line-up. They are a reference in the community, incredible all-around dancers showcasing an impeccable technique. They recently decided to join forces and we cannot wait to welcome them in Utrecht.
The beginner’s crash course before the parties will be given by a blend of the best selection of local Utrecht Shag teachers.
You know your basic stuff: You know the basic six-count, you know your tuck turns and you scoop everyone into a shag (whether they know shag as well or not). You have been doing a few workshops and one or two blocks of classes and you are hungry as the wolf to learn more of this amazing dance.
You have been dancing shag for at least 2 years and the enthusiasm and hunger for knowledge just keeps on growing. As you string your cross-kicks and your lunges together on the social dancefloor, you find the time to throw in some footwork variations just for the fun of it. Next to your classes you already attended some international festivals to get deeper into the glory they call the collegiate shag.
You have been taking classes at the highest level for a while now, and you are a regular at shag festivals around Europe. You might teach in your local scene, or have taken part in shag competitions. Or you might have invented shag altogether. If so, this is the level for you.
This is a Party Pass that includes absolute beginner’s crash courses right before the Friday and the Saturday parties (1h15min each). Classes will be given by a blend of the best selection of local Utrecht Shag teachers.
This band is at its best when quicks and slows are mixed together. This year they are taking up the task of getting the Shaggin’ Utrecht started. We are delighted to have them opening our festival on Friday. There could not be a better way to welcome all of you to Utrecht.

Can’t come anymore? You’re free to sell your pass but please let us know so we can change the name in the list!
Are you buying a pass from someone? If you don’t know them, please check with us if they’re legit. Beware of scammers! NEVER buy your pass from someone on social media who typically just comment “ik heb 3 kaartjes te koop” and always challenge their shag knowledge to see if they’re actual dancers.
